-Making your own espresso at home is as satisfying as it is delicious. Learning the steps to pull a shot is simple, but learning how to manipulate the variables of extraction is a long-term pursuit. Join us at the Fellow Store + Playground to learn the basics of espresso, and discover how easy it is to fall in love with the ritual of being a barista in your own home.


Members of the La Marzocco Team will be on hand to teach you how to make espresso, talk extraction, and demonstrate the La Marzocco Linea Mini.

Together, we’ll cover:


-Basic espresso theory
-How to taste espresso
-Targeting your ideal espresso brew ratio
-Hands-on espresso brewing


You don’t need to have past barista experience, just a passion for espresso and the coffee making ritual. We’re looking forward to having you!

Brewing Basics

Dylan will take you through brewing basics like coffee-to-water ratio, grind sizes, extraction, and techniques. Sit back and watch the best brew!

15-35:

First Brew

The class will go step-by-step through their first brew with Fellow's Stagg [X] Dripper and Stagg EKG Electric Pour-Over Kettle.

35-60:

Pour It Up

We'll spend the rest of the class perfecting your new brew skills, or if this isn't your first pour-over rodeo, digging into Dylan's techniques. Always wondering why Dylan does [INSERT YOUR QUESTION HERE] while brewing? Now is your time to ask and test it out for yourself! We'll have a wide variety of featured coffees from Onyx Coffee Lab on hand to brew and taste.
